Korean baseball

I'll talk about Korean baseball. The professional league is KBO professional baseball league, where KBO stands for Korea Baseball Organization. Until now, there are 8 teams,  LG Twins, Samsung Lions, Kia Tigers, SK Wyverns, Doosan Bears, Nexen Heroes, Hanwha Eagles, and Lotte Giants. All the clubs get supports from big corporations. During season, each team plays 133 games. After the season is done, play-off takes place. 3rd team and 4th team play games and have to win 3 games first. Then, winner of the matches play against 2nd team. They also have to win 3 games first. Then, in Korean Series, 1st team and the winner of play-off plays against each others to win 4 games first. This year's total number of tickets sold out, excluding post season, was over 5.5 million. This is the largest since the first year of professional baseball league.
Not only league, but the national team is also very strong. In Olympics and WBC, World Baseball Classic, Korea has achieved championships. Also, Korea's rival is always Japan just as Japan's rival is always Korea. This rivalry is in all sports between Korea and Japan. While Japan is strong in pitching, Korea is better in batting.

American baseball

Strongest countries are Cuba, U.S.A., and Venezuela. Cuba is the world best country in baseball since it is in 1st place of IBAF ranking. (IBAF is federation of baseball countries.) However, U.S.A. has the best professional league, MLB. MLB should be objective to all baseball players around the world.

Asian baseball

Here are basic information about Asian baseball countries. 2 best countries are Korea and Japan. They are rivals of each other in baseball, just like they are in all sports. Taiwan and China are middle classes. And there are weak baseball countries, too, such as Pakistan and Hong Kong. Also, in Asia, more countries are starting to play baseball because rich countries those are also good at baseball, such as Korea and Japan, supports countries, which have no idea about baseball, such as Pakistan. I'll talk about details of each countries later in upcoming posts.
